All around the world, men like to plant trees to celebrate the birth of a child. 2008 was the year when the municipality inaugurated this celebration , ‘a baby, a tree’. in the park ‘Les Petits Pres’. It was a ‘boom’ year with 7 babies!

On the day, parents with their children, and many residents, met together for the celebration at Les Petits Pres .The trees were planted, poems were read, and each baby received a certificate of sponsorship.

Anselme received a Lime(Tilia henryana) , Nino a hornbeam (Carpinus angostifolia Raywood) , Maud a mountain ash (Sorbus fructu luteo ) . Jeremie a maple (Acer griseum) ,Capucine a Persian Ironwood (Parrotia persicca ) and a flowering hornbeam (Carpinus caroliniana ) for Mathis- quite an arboretum! And Enzo, born in December 2008, will plant his tree in November 2009.
